Our certified organic store is made from recycled timber and corrugated iron, surrounded by permaculture gardens and native bushland and remnant pockets of tropical forests. It is one of the only certified organic stores in Queensland, Australia outside Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast, completely audited to guarantee truth on labelling and best environmental practices.
WHY A CERTIFIED ORGANIC STORE?
Our store is part of an organic industry initiative. We are registered as a ‘certified organic store’ by the National Association of Sustainable Agriculture Australia (NASAA). Unique in this part of Queensland, we are the only store with this accreditation outside the Brisbane area.
We are independently audited for authenticity of products, truth on labelling and pro-active environmental practices.
We minimise all waste. We compost all food ‘wastes’ in our nutrient re-capture program, cardboard is recycled, used paper and egg cartons are returned to the earth in our ‘carbon sink’, and we minimise the need for plastic.
When you buy ‘organic’ food from other stores or on-sellers at markets, ask yourself…is it REALLY organic? Who ensures that it is? On its journey from the organic farm/processor, has it been exposed to toxins?

Our certified organic status ensures organic food completes its journey of inspection and audit from farm gate to your shopping basket. Our guarantee to you, is that your food is kept clean and toxin free and that your fresh food is nourished to maintain its high nutritional qualities.
WHAT CAN I FIND IN STORE?
As the 1st certified organic growers in the region, we understand the importance of fresh, nutrient dense, chemical-free foods. We carry a large range, selecting from the best certified organic and biodynamic farms.
Having been in the organic industry for over 25 years, we’re fortunate to know all the best farms and have met many of the growers who provide premium certified organic produce. We support our region’s local growers and in season fruits and herbs come from our own permaculture gardens.
In addition to fresh food, you can also select from our ranges of certified organic wholefoods, meats, dairy, gluten-free and pantry items. All products have been scrutinised by us for truth on labelling. We do not carry products with harmful ingredients. This is of particular importance to our ranges of body care, make-up and household cleaning products. As is required in a certified organic system, our products are also free-range, not tested on animal and fair-trade.
OUR LOW CARBON-FOOTPRINT STORE
Our organic store has evolved over 25 years. What began as an old corrugated iron shed has been retrofitted and transformed into a unique and beautiful certified organic store. We sourced recycled timber, ironbark posts, bio-paints and lime washes to create an environment in which even the most sensitive people can shop.
Every decision and action taken in the construction of our store and property has been carefully considered to ensure management of sustainability and re-generation.
The use of recycled timbers and the renovation of an old shed minimised the energy output that would have been required to build with newly manufactured materials. Natural materials and bio-paints have created a clean environment where there is no ‘out-gassing’ from petro-chemical based paints and synthetic composite materials emitting VOC’s.
Refrigeration is offset by a 5kva solar energy system.
